Having a baby changes everything. I absolutely love being a mom. I feel very blessed to have the privilege to be a mom. I have learned so much this past year and am continuing to learn more as Jax grows.
Being a mom is a lot of work! Yet I would not trade it for anything. Here are some things I found myself doing differently after having a baby, and I bet a lot of you feel the same 😊🤗
• cleaning the house is now a must
Now that Jax is very mobile .. he is walking all over the place and getting into everything!! So no pens, no papers, no mails, no nothing! On the table or anywhere he can get into.. and that is a lot of places! 😭 so I find myself cleaning a lot more often and my place is so much cleaner than it’s ever been!
• only do the dishes when they’re sleeping
Did I mention they get into everything??! Something about the dishwasher though..they just love it! He would stand by the dishwasher and listen to the water 😂😂 what is up with that?
• you will be late…to everything ..
Ahh I hate being late! Before I had him, I was never late! And being late was one of my pet peeves, because it made me feel rushed! Now, hah, I consider 5-10 mins late on time 😑😑. Okay it gets better as he gets older, but when they were little, leaving the house literally takes forever!
• buying more vegetables and fruits than you ever have before
Since he is eating quite a bit of table food now, it is time we introduce him to a variety of foods in each food groups. In addition, toddlers has small tummy so their food needs to be packed with nutrients for them to grow! So I now find myself buying all kinds of fruits and vegetables so that Jax can eat, and of course he can’t possibly finish everything so now I am eating more vegetables and fruits than before! And it’s a good thing! But of course sometimes me and the hubs does love a good burger so we will eat those once Jax is a sleep 😂😂
• one of the conversations between you and the hubs is how you can ‘out smart’ your kid.
Jax gets into everything. I mean…he does. He is a bit taller than the coffee table now and it’s no longer intriguing to him..he wants to reach higher things (of course!) 🙄😂 I bought him one of those personal chair from pottery barn kids and since he is too short to reach like the counter the bookshelf, he will push the chair to countertop and climb on the chair to reach the countertop … 😑😑😑 don’t worry guys, the hubs and I are planning on taping down the chair..😂😂
Being a mom has been and will always be my greatest blessings. I hope you’ll find your journey to be the same. I love being able to share my adventures in motherhood. For sure I will try post more often!
Happy Monday! Much love ❤️❤️
