How I lost my baby weight πŸ˜³

So I was super excited and nervous when I found out I was pregnant! Probably 50/50 I’d say. I was nervous about what am I going to do with the baby while both me and my husband are at work, what should I name the baby, and oh my gosh how on earth will I be able to take care of a baby when I can barely take care of myself???! And the last thing that was on my mind was of course, okay, will I be able to lose all the baby weight I will gain?

I gained 40 lbs from my pregnancy. I shared some pictures here and just look at my feet! That’s the definition of kankles right there πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ . It was bad you guys it hurt to even walk! After I had the baby I was worried, I kept thinking about how I’m going to lose all these weight and I’ve seen people who look like they’ve never been pregnant 1 week or 2 weeks after they had the baby and I promise you I did not look like that! Thinking back now, I was silly, so silly to worry about things like that. I just had a baby, my body made a human being! It’s going to take time for it to recover!

Yoga has always been my form of exercise. I started while in pharmacy school and fell in love with it after 1 class. It’s amazing you guys, if you haven’t try it, go out, try a class right now, do it! I continued to do yoga throughout my pregnancy, I stopped at about 33 weeks (I had the baby at 37) it was just getting too heavy 😊😊. I definitely think that keeping up with some sort of exercise will make it easier to lose the baby weight after having the baby, even just walking for 30 mins daily!

I tried to exercise right away of course, because I wanted to lose weight. Bad idea!! Listen to your body! You will know when you are ready to exercise again. I didn’t start exercising until 8 weeks after I had the baby. And of course, yoga is what I did! Yoga wins everytime πŸ˜‰πŸ˜Š

Also, breastfeeding helps a tons!! For the first 8-10 weeks when I was not exercising, I was still losing weight all because of breastfeeding. 

So I guess my ‘secret’ to losing all the baby weight…id have to say it’s yoga 😊😊✌🏼 it’s good for the mind, body and soul! Yoga every day, yoga everywhere!
